Consecration

The word literally means, "to set aside." At the Eucharist, the elements are consecrated before we partake in communion. Consecration services include dedications and ordinations. In 1835, the Chapel of the Cross was consecrated for God's service. In 2006, The Rt. Rev. Martyn Minns was consecrated 1st Bishop of CANA.
