The Library in the Parish Hall is ready for you to begin checking out books! Due to the generosity of our congregation, Christ the Redeemer has a library that members can borrow books from. The contents are religious in nature, and there’s no charge. If there’s something you would like to borrow, come by and check it out. If you have any books that are in good shape that you’d like to donate, please contact the church.
For more info, contact Jerry Tillman or Norman Duren.

Adults and children alike are called to serve in this ministry. Working alongside the clergy, they assist in leading worship on Sunday mornings. Beginning at age nine, acolytes are trained to assist with communion, participating in the procession and helping with the offertory.

The altar guild is a ministry of serving behind the scenes in helping the clergy prepare for worship. They clean the altar area, make sure the liturgical items are polished and in place and maintain the vestments and altar hangings.

A cornerstone of our congregational life, the Discipleship Program is an eight month training class to help parishioners deepen their spiritual life and learn how to become more involved in mission and ministry. The focus of the first semester is on the inward spiritual disciplines with the goal being to develop a regular rule of life and to gain an understanding of the basic components of discipleship. Topics covered will include Prayer, Worship, Study, Confession, Simplicity, Solitude and Guidance. The second semester focuses on the outward spiritual life, specifically covering topics such as Spiritual Gifts, Evangelism, Stewardship, Spiritual Warfare and how each person can discover and engage in a ministry to which he or she has been called by God. The discipleship class begins each September and runs through the end of May.

Greeters are the first people a visitor will encounter when visting Christ the Redeemer. They are in the entry way on Sunday mornings to greet newcomers and direct people to the appropriate location for worship, ministry or education.

Jesus spent much of his earthly ministry healing the sick. The Apostles continued this ministry on through the centuries and we believe Jesus is still healing today. Through Sunday prayer teams and monthly healing services, we regularly see miraculous healings and answered prayers. We also have periodic days of “Healing & Renewal” where the entire congregation is encouraged to come together to receive the healing and empowerment of the Lord.

Because we are a family, we believe in assisting one another in times of need. Everyone in our church has something that they can share with someone in need. It might be some time to help buy groceries or take someone to a doctor’s visit. It might be a skill like painting, yard work, or fixing something around the house. The same people who are sharing what they have of time, skill, or treasure may also need assistance with something. This ministry is a tangible way for us to bear one another’s burdens.

This ministry is for meetings of our congregation in smaller groups at home, where we can meet outside the larger church group to study God’s word, have fellowship and pray. There are currently ten small groups which are meeting on various days of the week. We encourage every member of the church family to be a part of a home fellowship group.
