Fr. Lawrence is leading a new Bible study on Proverbs during Lent at the time of adult education on Sunday mornings. The series will focus on different themes developed throughout the Book of Proverbs.

During the Season of Lent, we will have our regular Wednesday evening activities with one flavorful difference. We are asking each family to bring along a soup of their choice each Wednesday night. It can be as simple as chicken noodle and meatless varieties are especially welcome during this penitential season. The soup supper will begin at 6pm with Discipleship at 6:30 and Bible study and Kids club at 7pm. As usual, we will end with Eucharist at 8:15pm.

This month’s Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday, April 16th at 8am.  Come enjoy a wonderful breakfast and some great fellowship. Bring a friend!

As was the case with the March meeting – plenty of MAN FOOD will be available.   There was a great turnout at the March meeting – lets keep that attendance going!

At today’s annual meeting, we say congratulations to the three new members elected to the Vestry today. The three new members are Mark Carter, Niki Jones, & Shirley Sharp. Their new terms are for three years.

A special thanks to those who are coming off the vestry. Those are Keith Crow, Karen Powell, and the late David Huess.

The first Sunday night revival service at Canterbury House was a huge blessing to those who attended. The services will be held each Sunday evening at 6pm and include praise as well as a time of prayer for revival in our church and neighborhood. Please come and join in this exciting and Spirit-filled evening.

There are two ministries at CTR that are struggling with some problems that you can assist them in solving.

The Altar Guild is having a lot of problems removing lipstick stains from our linens. Ladies, if you could please remove your lipstick before taking Communion it would make our Altar Guild’s life a lot easier, as well as saving money in purchasing new linens. Thanks!

Also, the Prayer Teams who pray for people after the service are having a hard time hearing. Please move toward the back of the Sanctuary or into the foyer to visit so the prayer teams can hear.

Our parish Lenten Retreat will be held on March 12th from 9am to 4pm. Fr. Lawrence will lead us in a day of worship, prayer, study and corporate meditation. This day will also mark the kickoff of Lenten Family Prayer and time will be provided for families to pray together during the day. Please sign up for future Saturdays on the sheet in the parish hall.

The Campus Development Committee is comprised of Fr. Lawrence; Tom Young; Keith Crow; Christine Ambler; Shirley Sharp; and Pamela Hair. Their task is to seek God’s will for the future in planning the expansion of the Miller Road campus.
