VBS Finishes Up Tomorrow!

Mark your calendar and begin to invite the kids you know to VBS! It will be held July 25th—29th from 9AM to noon each day.

Calling all kids!! Come for a fun filled and exciting time at VBS! Invite your friends!

Calling all adults! Please invite your neighborhood children and bring the grandkids. They’ll have a blast and learn about Jesus!

In church this past Sunday, the Belize missionaries gave testimonies regarding what happened to them while they were on this mission trip.  A recording of that can be heard on the sermons page.

However, before the testimonies were given, a short video presentation was shown in church with many pictures taken during the mission.  A copy of that video is available for viewing here.

Due to not being able to meet the number of participants required by the City of Garland to remain a host site for the Summer Lunch Program, this past Friday was our last day to serve the children in the surrounding area.Many, however, were served and blessed by the efforts and willingness of so many here at CTR who gave of their time and talents during the past three weeks.  Thank you all so much for your hard work and dedication to this ministry.

Welcome back to the Belize missionaries from CTR.  During the time of the sermon at today’s worship service, they will share testimonies of their time away and how God used your prayers to make a difference in the lives of many.  Please welcome them back warmly.

The International Street Church was one of the Discipleship Class projects this year. The needs there so touched our hearts that we want to continue to help.

There is a box in the Parish Hall for donations for the ISC. Simple things. Ones we take for granted. Check out the list and see how you might help. They need:

Kitchen items: disposable dinnerware, cutlery and napkins

Pantry Items: non-perishable canned goods, meats, pasta, rice, beans, soup

Toiletry Items: Soap, toothpaste, deodorant, bath towels, wash clothes

Purchase a few things from the list and help someone in need. Just bring your donations and place them in the box.

The “I Am” sayings in the Gospel of John.

A new study on the Gospel of John has begun with Fr. Lawrence leading the study. Come and explore the wonders contained in this Gospel. Remember, Christian Education is now after the one service which begins at 9:30a.m.

We have an assortment of orphaned jackets hanging on the racks in the hallway leading to the vesting rooms. They have been with us quite a while and need to go home. Please take a look and see if any of these jackets, etc. belong to you. The ones that are not claimed soon will be donated to a charity. Thanks!!

Our Annual Rally Day will be held on Sunday, September 11th, which will signal the return to our regular worship service schedule times of 8 & 10:30.

Appleseed Express Carwash, located at 2905 Custer Rd., Plano, TX 75075, has several ways to raise money for our Youth. They offer a Car Wash Card, good for 60 days, for $30 that pays CTR half the cost of each of your car washes. Or if you just want to wash your car once you get to vote for CTR. They have 3 charities to vote for each month. Right now we’re in 2nd place. If we get 1st place we will receive a donation of $500. The 2nd & 3rd still get a donation of $100 or $50.  So let’s get spiffed up and raise some money at the same time!! More info? See Matt.

Beginning June 12th, we will have one worship service at 9:30AM, followed by Christian Education for all ages.
