Are you connected yet in a small group? If not, you’re missing a lot! Small groups are a place to really get to know others, enjoy wonderful fellowship, have some fun, and learn more about the Bible. A new small group for those involved in recovery is starting tomorrow, Monday, December 28. It will be meeting at CTR at 7pm. For more information about this small group, you may contact Anthony Ledesma or Fr. Lawrence. Contact Fr. Don if you’d like to learn more about the other small groups at CTR.

The Helping Hands Ministry, led by Paul McDonald and Alan Boles, is putting together a directory so that when you have a need you can check and see if there is someone that can either help you or knows a reliable source for the help you need.
Alan wrote recently, “As you all know, we often have little things that make a world of difference to the receiver. Maybe you need a good, competent handyman, or plumber, or even someone to help you look at a situation for advice. We would all like to hear positive comments on auto repairs or doctors. We all have no problem with a meal, but would also like to know when someone is down to help with a little housework, or to bring a small group to handle the leaves in gutters, or help put up seasonal decorations. Joyce just needed a table moved recently. Through someone, Niki found an awesome chiropractor to help her face her Christmas flight to her son’s home.”
Please send Alan an email (alb3rkwl@sbcglobal.net) with your avocation, vocation, gifts or contacts for professional services so he can begin to put together something that will be helpful to us all. He would also like business cards from businesses you trust.

Our monthly Healing Service will be Saturday, February 4th , at 9:15am. If you desire prayer for any need, whether physical or otherwise, please come. We are a prayer driven church, and many miracles have occurred at our healing services. The power of prayer is open to everyone, so why not come and receive some of that power? God has done miraculous things at these meetings, don’t miss out!
As James exhorts us in his epistle, “Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15)
Our monthly healing service is an excellent opportunity to bring friends who are in need of healing and introduce them to the healing ministry of Christ the Redeemer.
If you have no needs right now, please come pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Day of Healing and Renewal – November 5th, 9am—9pm
The Bible gives us many examples of Jesus healing the sick as an instrument of evangelism. If the Christian Church in America is to be effective in reaching the lost in today’s world, it must recover the ministry of healing and raise up a new generation of disciples who can use the healing ministry as an effective tool of evangelism.
Aside from the valuable and informative teaching on healing and its role in the church’s mission, participants will also have a chance to:
- Receive personal prayer for healing from trained prayer ministers.
- Have practical opportunities to pray for other participants in the area of physical, emotional and spiritual healing.
- Participate in a Healing Service that will focus on different areas of healing: spiritual, emotional & physical
- Further develop spiritual gifts and have an opportunity to receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to use those gifts.
Please consider joining other Anglicans from North Texas in Christ the Redeemer’s semi-annual day of Healing & Renewal.
The day will include praise, teaching on healing, prayer for empowerment, prayers for healing in all forms and a chance to fellowship with other Anglicans from around North Texas. The focus of the Day of Healing and Renewal will be on the healing power of prayer. The registration fee is $20 which includes three meals. Childcare will be provided. A brochure with more information and a registration form should be in your bulletin this week. If not you may get one from the bulletin rack at the back of the sanctuary. Please RSVP as soon as possible to help in planning meals and materials.
Please note the registration form/pamphlet is also available for download from our website. You can get it here:

NOTE: For the month of November, this event will replace the normal monthly Saturday morning healing service.

It’s time for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to share our blessings with those in need. There are bags on the baker’s rack in the lobby that you may take and fill, or you can add to bags that several people are helping to fill, or you can make a donation and CTR will buy the food for the bag. If you make a donation, just note on the memo line of your check “Thanksgiving Food” and place it in the offering plate. With the bags are lists of needed food items. Thank you for your generosity to those in need.
